Esteban Rajmilchuk - Argentina
Guest Director - Summer 2004


estebanBorn in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Esteban holds a Masters degree in Piano, Orchestral Conducting and Opera from Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington.

Mr. Rajmilchuk has conducted the Indiana Symphony and Concert Orchestras, the Brevard Music Center Symphony Orchestra and Contemporary Ensemble, as well as several youth orchestras and ensembles.

Esteban enjoys literature, folkore and popular music from all around the world. He is currently working in the texts and music for an opera based on several mythological stories from Pre-Columbian Latin America.

Oswaldo Kuan Cubillas - Perú
Guest Director - Summer 2000


oswaldoBorn in Lima, Peru, Manuel Oswaldo Kuan Cubillas is the founder and conductor of the National Children's Choir of Perú, National Ensemble of the National Institute of Culture. Prior to this position, Mr. Kuan was the founder and conductor of the Camerata Anaryllis in Santiago, Chile. He has conductor choirs in a variety of schools and choral associations in Perú since 1975. Mr. Kuan has served as professor of music at the National Pedagogical Institute and at the National School of Music, both in Lima, Perú. He has conducted conferences, courses and seminars since 1987 throughout Perú, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. In addition Mr. Kuan has had broadcasting experience as the Chief Editor in Radio Sol Armonía, the first cultural broadcasting radio station in Perú and served as producer and conductor of "Gaudeamus" a choral music-broadcasting program.

Pastor Suarez - Venezuela
Guest Conductor - Summer 1999


pastorMr Suarez has founded many choirs and coral groups in Universities, Colleges and High Schools, including the Orfeón de la Universidad de Oriente, the Orfeón Ayacucho and the Orfeón del Ateneo de Cumaná, which has been recognized in competitions both nationally and internationally.

Mr. Suarez has made many choral arrangements (for four voices) of different style music such as: popular Venezuelan music, folk music, religious, as well as many hymns, including the choral arrangement of the Hymn of Sucre State.

Among the awards and recognition he has received are: The National Award of the CONAC (Consejo Nacional de la Cultura) for Choral Activity. He received the distinction "Orden Francisco de Miranda" (Tercera Clase, given by the Venezuelan government) and was name Hijo Illustre of the City of Cumaná.
